Kat Simmons to entertain at Girls Night Out
PLATTSBURGH — Kat Simmons, inspirational comedian, will be the featured entertainment for Girls Night Out, the Foundation of CVPH’s signature event in recognition of breast cancer awareness month, on Tuesday, Oct. 9, in the E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium at Hawkins Hall.
Tickets for the 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. shows are available at the Champlain Centre Customer Service Desk, General Trading Company and Plattsburgh State’s Angell College Center. Online ticket purchases can be made at www.cvph.org in the Upcoming Events section.
Simmons is a 25-year veteran of the international comedy club circuit. Among a long list of acomplishments, she has appeared at The Improv
and on “Catch A Rising Star,” the Comedy Channel, Fox’s “Comedy Tonight” and “Candid Camera.” Simmons is also currently a regular cast member of the national comedy hit, “The Three Blonde Moms.”
Joining Simmons for the event will be Plattsburgh’s Boobie Sisters (7:30 p.m. show only) and Dr. Claude Roland of Champlain Valley Vascular. The annual Boobie Prize, awarded to a person or a group that has made a significant impact on the fight against breast cancer in this community will be presented at the 7:30 p.m. show.
