PORT HENRY — The Essex County Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is holding a Bowling Fun Fundraiser at the Mineville VFW Bowling Lanes.
At noon, 3 and 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, people can “buy strikes,” purchase food at a mini sale, and enter to win a 50/50 drawing and various raffles.
Two-person teams cost $40 a team. To sign up, call the Bowling Lanes at 942-3344 or RSVP at 546-3565.

Caregiver support group meets Sept. 26
PLATTSBURGH — A discussion group for all unpaid caregivers is set for 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at the Emmaus Room at St. Peter’s Church.
The group, offered by the Caregiver Resource Center/Respite Program, is a component of Behavioral Health Services North. It is open to anyone providing unpaid care to an aging family member or friend. New caregivers, friends and family are welcome. No appointment necessary.
