Garden Series to conclude with Sept. 12 event

The 2010 Sunday Garden Series in Lake Placid "Yes You Can… Garden in the North Country" will offer the free program After the Harvest from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, at Heaven Hill Farm, 302 Bear Cub Lane in Lake Placid.

The roundtable discussion with Master Gardener volunteers, home and community gardeners will focus on this summer's growing season and what to do next. Participants are invited to share their successes and ask question. Soil pH testing will be available free of charge. The program is designed to be of interest to both novice and experienced gardeners.

The garden series, presented by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Essex County Master Gardener Volunteers, ends with this, its fifth program.
