Meditation and heart health to be discussed Thursday
ESSEX — “Meditation and The Heart,” a health-oriented presentation by Austen Hayes, will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Belden Noble Library, 2759 Essex Road, Essex.
It is free and open to the public, with light refreshments.
Session focuses on healing after suicide loss
PLATTSBURGH — A session on “Healing After Suicide Loss” will be held Saturday at Alumni Lounge of Angell College Center at SUNY Plattsburgh.
The free event starts with registration at 12:30 p.m.
The event is hosted by the MAPP Community Education Subcommittee.

Muscular dystrophy event set for Wednesday
PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh Lock-Up, an event to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association, is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Legends Brew Pub & Wine Bar.
A number of well-known Clinton County residents are participating. They have been asking people for “bail” money in an effort to raise $2,400 to send three children to MDA summer camp.
Once “jailbirds” are picked up at their place of business and brought back to Legends Brew Pub & Wine Bar, they will have an opportunity to continue their fundraising efforts by phone.
