Valentine Dance Social benefits church roof project

MOOERS — The Back Porch Band will perform at a Valentine Dance Social from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Hall, 83 Maple St.

Attendees can enjoy snacks, sodas and a 50-50 raffle.

Admission is $5, with proceeds benefitting the St. Joseph's Roof Project.

Soaking Prayer time offered

ELLENBURG CENTER — Our Lady of the Adirondacks House of Prayer is offering Soaking Prayer from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20, at its 7270 Star Road location.

Participants will spend time immersed in individual prayer for specific needs.

Next 40 Days for Life campaign starts Feb. 22

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh area's 40 Days for Life campaign kicks off Feb. 22 and runs through April 1.

An anti-abortion initiative, the campaign is made up of three components: 40 days of prayer and fasting, community outreach and peaceful vigils outside Planned Parenthood at 66 Brinkerhoff St.

The campaign starts with an Opening Vigil Ceremony at 66 Brinkerhoff St. at 10 a.m. Feb. 22.
