PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man is facing charges for allegedly impersonating a police officer.
According to Plattsburgh City Police, Edward M. Lamarche, 36, of Plattsburgh, tried to gain entry to his ex-girlfriend's Margaret Street residence by banging on her door and claiming to be a police officer. Police said they responded to the dispute and arrested Lamarche at 1:45 p.m. Sunday and charged him with criminal impersonation, a felony, and criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor.
Lamarche was arraigned and is being held without bail at Clinton County Jail.
