AUSABLE — A Peru man was arrested early Saturday for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
Plattsburgh-based State Police said Keeseville troopers pulled over Tanner W. Currier, 25, at 1:40 a.m., after they observed a cigarette being tossed from his car’s window. During the traffic stop, officers smelled alcohol on Currier’s breath and initiated a preliminary breath test, which he failed.
Currier was charged with felony DWI for having a DWI conviction within the last 10 years.
Currier was released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to reappear in court Dec. 14.
