Police Log: Feb. 26, 2010 — Felony arrest

PLATTSBURGH — Police say a Plattsburgh man drove to a local pharmacy under the influence and then tried to get extra medications than the amount he was prescribed.

Plattsburgh-based State Police were called to Kinney Drugs on New York Avenue around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday after pharmacists detected the alleged forged prescription.

Bradley S. Gonyea was subsequently arrested for second-degree possession of a forged instrument for allegedly altering his prescription for methadone.

He is also suspected of driving to the pharmacy after consuming alcohol, prompting police to also charge him with driving while ability impaired.

Gonyea was released from custody after his arrest and will appear in court next month to face the allegations.
