---- — PLATTSBURGH — A Ellenburg man was charged with felony violation of probation Tuesday.
A Clinton County arrest warrant for Brian K. Blackey, 35, was served by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department Tuesday morning.
Blackey was charged with violation of probation.
The probation stemmed from a guilty plea to third-degree burglary Blackey provided after he and Nikki McLean, 34, were charged with stealing $2,000 worth of power tools, jewelry and other property from their neighbor’s Keeseville home within two days after the home was seriously damaged by a fire in July 2009.
Blackey was sentenced to six months in jail, five years of intense-supervision probation, 200 hours of community service and payment of a surchage.
Blackey was held in Clinton County Jail before his arraignment in County Court Wednesday, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
