PLATTSBURGH — One person was injured in a two-car accident Jan. 22.
Shortly before 10:40 a.m., Paul J. Miller, 23, of Dekalb Junction, N.Y., was driving on State Route 190 near its intersection with Pellerin Road in the Town of Plattsburgh when he allegedly reached for his GPS that had fallen on the floor of the vehicle, causing him to jerk the steering wheel. The vehicle entered the snow-covered shoulder of the road and turned across the road in a westerly direction, according to Plattsburgh-based State Police.
Peggy A. Cameron, 62, of Plattsburgh was traveling south on Route 190 and was unable to avoid Miller’s vehicle and the two cars collided, police said.
One person was transported but his or her name and condition was unknown. Ticket information was not available.
