PLATTSBURGH — A Playboy playmate was arrested on a federal charge while attempting to cross the border.
Colleen Shannon, 34, was arrested Aug. 16 at a border crossing after officials said she allegedly tried to smuggle an Ontario man into the United States.
She was charged with violating a federal statute that prohibits “bringing in and harboring aliens.”
Her relationship to the man is unknown, officials said.
Shannon was remanded to Clinton County Jail where she remained until her release late Friday afternoon.
No further information was available as to when she is to reappear in court.
