---- — NORTH ELBA — A Saranac Lake man was arrested on felony DWI charges.
Jason P. Duffy, 36, was driving west on Mackenzie Pond Road in the Town of North Elba shortly before 8:45 p.m. Friday when he allegedly crossed the marked line on the right side of the road and drove onto the shoulder.
Upon interviewing Duffy, Ray Brook-based State Police suspected his blood-alcohol content was more than the legal limit. Sobriety tests were administered on-site, according to police.
Duffy was arrested at 8:57 p.m. and charged with aggravated DWI with a prior offense within 10 years, a felony; moving from a lane unsafely, an infraction; and a misdemeanor DWI charge.
Duffy was released to a third party and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
