CHAZY — A West Chazy man faces a burglary charge after a Thursday incident.
A call went to State Police at 4:43 p.m. Thursday from someone advising police to go to a house on Moran Way for a possible harassment.
Upon arrival, police interviewed Gregory J. Yelle regarding an altercation involving his son, Joseph Yelle, at his residence on Moran Way. Gregory told police he spotted a vehicle he knew to be that of Brad M. Aylward, 25, according to Ray Brook-based State Police. He told police that he asked Aylward to leave, but his son, Joseph, was tackled at the door and the two fought back and forth. Gregory did not report the incident until police came and interviewed him the next day, police said. Joseph sustained physical injury during altercation but did not need medical attention.
Aylward was arrested a couple of hours later on O'Neil Road.
He was charged with burglary of a dwelling and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies, and second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor.
Aylward was arraigned in Chazy Town Court. He is scheduled to return to court on Feb. 7.
