ROUSES POINT — A Champlain man is accused of drunken driving.
According to Chazy-based State Police, Jamie M. Dubois, 37, was driving on Academy Street in Rouses Point early Sunday morning when officers noticed him swerving all over the road and unable to maintain his vehicle in the right lane.
Upon pulling him over, police said, officers found Dubois to be intoxicated.
He was arrested at 2:59 a.m. and charged with failure to keep right, a vehicle and traffic infraction; driving while intoxicated with a previous conviction within the last 10 years, a felony; and aggravated driving while intoxicated for having a blood-alcohol content greater than .17 percent, a felony.
Because no judge was available to arraign him Sunday morning, Dubois was released on a ticket to appear in Village Court later this week.
