---- — WILLSBORO — A Moriah man was arrested Saturday in connection with a domestic dispute.
According to State Police in Lewis, an adult female reported that Josiah D. McKiernan, 25, placed both of his hands around her throat at a residence on Main Street in Willsboro.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found that numerous items within the residence had been broken.
McKiernan was taken into custody at 6:10 p.m. and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, a misdemeanor, and third-degree criminal mischief, a felony.
He was arraigned in Elizabethtown Court before Justice Frisbee and remanded to Essex County Jail for lack of $1,500 cash bail.
