CHAMPLAIN — A Champlain man was arrested on charges associated with allegedly failing to follow the Sex Offender Registration Act.
Shane L. Agnew, 21, was arrested by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department on Monday evening. He was charged with failure to notify a change of address, a felony.
It is alleged that Agnew failed to notify the Sheriff’s Office of his change of address within the required time frame, according to a press release from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
Agnew was arraigned in Champlain Town Court and sent to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $500 cash or $1,000 bond.
He will appear in court to face the charges at a later date.
