LAKE PLACID — A Ray Brook resident was charged with drunken driving Tuesday night.
State Police said Linda E. Martin, 34, of 22 Riebel Way was charged with felony driving while intoxicated after Ray Brook-based State Police responded to a one-car property-damage accident in the Mountain Medical Parking Lot in Lake Placid.
This is Martin's second DWI charge in the past 10 years, which is why it is a felony.
Martin refused a breathalyzer test, State Police said, and was ticketed for driving with imprudent speed, driving with a suspended license, unsafely moving from a lane and possession of marijuana.
Christopher J. Fust, 28, a passenger Martin's vehicle, was charged with disorderly conduct following the accident for allegedly and was issued an appearance ticket.
Martin was taken to Town of North Elba Court, where she was released on $1,500 cash bail.
Her arraignment is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Jan. 11 in Town of North Elba Court.
