TUPPER LAKE — New York State Police in Ray Brook are investigating a number of residential burglaries and larcenies from vehicles in the Tupper Lake, Lake Clear and Paul Smiths area.
The thefts have occurred over the past two weeks. According to a State Police news release, perpetrators have stolen computer equipment, cameras, household electric items, firearms, jewelry and power tools. Some of the thefts have occurred during daylight hours when the homes were unoccupied.
Witnesses of a 12:45 p.m. burglary Dec. 15 allegedly observed a small, tan pickup truck occupied by two young-looking, white males. The driver was apparently wearing a faded, tan Carhartt jacket, and the passenger was wearing a reddish-colored plaid insulated shirt.
Anyone with information regarding these break-ins/thefts is asked to contact the New York State Police at 897-2000.
