State Police allege that St. John wrote a check for $15,500, which she did not have available, and gave it to Dustin Anderson for the purchase of a trailer in Plattsburgh on Nov. 13.

She was arraigned in Town of Plattsburgh Court and released on the pre-trial release program. St. John was scheduled to reappear in court at 4 p.m. Monday.

According to the Clinton County Sheriff's Department, Andrew M. Eckler, 31, was charged with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated Thursday after a pursuit that started on Route 3 in Plattsburgh and ended in Schuyler Falls. He also faces multiple vehicle and traffic-law violations as well as misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle.

The Stinger, a tire-deflation device, was deployed by State Police to help end the pursuit without injury.

Eckler was arraigned in Town of Plattsburgh Court and sent to the County Jail because he did not pay $10,000 bail. He was still being held late Monday night.

Eckler was scheduled to appear in Town Court at a later date.

CONDITION UPDATE
BURLINGTON — The West Chazy man seriously injured Sunday afternoon in a one-car rollover accident remained in critical condition Monday night.

Jeffrey A. Landry, 22, was driving north on Rapids Road in Champlain at about 2:20 p.m. Sunday when he approached the intersection of Route 11. Landry's Jeep Cherokee went off the road and rolled over three times, ejecting Landry, who was not wearing a seat belt, State Police said.

He was transported to CVPH Medical Center and later airlifted to Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington for treatment of head trauma, possible spine trauma and multiple other injuries.

Landry was reported to be in critical condition Sunday night.

State Police believe high rates of speed and alcohol were factors in the accident. The accident is still under investigation.
