ELLENBURG DEPOT — Police believe a local teen went on a destructive joyride in a truck he stole from an area dealership.
Plattsburgh-based State Police said Tyler C. Campbell was arrested Friday evening in connection with the mid-October mischief.
Authorities believe the 17-year-old Ellenburg Depot resident stole the pickup and then tore through a field, causing extensive damage.
It was unclear Saturday where the truck was allegedly stolen from and whether it has since been recovered.
Campbell was later released from custody on an appearance ticket facing charges of third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree grand larceny.
