DANNEMORA — A Clinton Correctional Facility inmate is facing two felony charges after allegedly being found with a homemade plastic shank.

On Dec. 29, 2008, correction officers searched inmate Jorge Rosario, 36, and allegedly found the handcrafted weapon in one of his pants pockets.

Rosario was charged at 9:25 a.m. Friday morning with first-degree prison contraband and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to Plattsburgh-based State Police.

He was arraigned in Clinton County Court before Judge Kevin Ryan and sent to Clinton County Jail, where he was still being held Saturday night for lack of $250,000 bail or $500,000 bond.
