CHAMPLAIN — One person was injured in a two-car accident Friday afternoon.
Paul W. Allen, 18, of Plattsburgh was driving west on Route 11 at about 4:10 p.m. when he noticed his brakes were not functioning properly, according to Chazy-based State Police.
As Allen approached the stop light at the intersection of Route 276, he was unable to stop and struck the rear bumper of a vehicle stopped in front of him at the light, which was being driven by Kelly J. Blondo, 42, of Mooers, State Police said.
A passenger in Allen's vehicle, Katilyn McKinnon, 42, complained of neck pain but was not transported to the hospital, police said.
Allen was ticketed for following too close and unsafe tires.
