PLATTSBURGH — No serious injuries were reported in four-car accident.
An accident near the intersection of Tom Miller Road and Quarry Road at 6:10 p.m. Aug. 14 was the result of a chain reaction, according to Plattsburgh-based State Police.
Herman M. Rascoe, 82, of Morrisonville; Diana L. Atkinson, 56, of Tucson, Ariz.; Frank A. Lahue, 58, of Schuyler Falls; and Mitchell F. Pellerin, 16, of Cadyville were headed east on Tom Miller Road when they stopped at the red light near Quarry Road.
Police said Rascoe was first at the light, followed by Atkinson, then Lahue when Pellerin approached the intersection. The light turned green and Rascoe remained stopped but Pellerin accelerated, hitting Lahue’s vehicle, causing a chain reaction damaging all four vehicles.
