SARANAC LAKE — A Paul Smiths woman was injured Saturday when her vehicle was struck by a plow.
At approximately 2:15 p.m., Edward Duckett, 74, of Saranac Lake was traveling southbound on Main Street when the lower-right corner of his plow struck the open door of a parked vehicle belonging to Ruth Butler, 70, Saranac Lake Police said in a media release.
Butler was standing outside her vehicle at the time of the incident and lost her balance as a result of the collision, causing her to fall underneath the open door of her vehicle.
According to police, Butler suffered minor injuries to her lower-left leg and the back of her head. She was transported to Adirondack Medical Center for treatment and later released.
No tickets were issued, police said.
