---- — SARANAC LAKE — A Saranac Lake man is accused of criminal contempt.
Saranac Lake Village police arrested Raymond A. St. John, 55, at 2:37 a.m. Sunday after St. John allegedly got into a physical altercation with someone with whom he had an active order of protection.
While being placed under arrest, St. John put up a brief struggle, according to police.
He was charged with second-degree harassment, a violation; resisting arrest, a misdemeanor; and first-degree criminal contempt, a class E felony.
St. John was arraigned in Village Court and remanded to Franklin County Jail on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
