NORTH ELBA — A Saranac Lake woman was transported to the hospital after she rolled her car early Wednesday morning.
Ray Brook-based State Police said Susan Forrette, 21, was driving a Hyundai Santa Fe at about 3:35 a.m. when she struck a culvert, rolled onto someone's front yard and hit a tree.
Forrette was trapped in the vehicle and was removed with the help of a Saranac Lake Fire Department extraction device, officials said.
She was transported to the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, where she was still being treated in the emergency room late Wednesday morning.
Her updated medical status was not immediately available later Wednesday.
Charges are pending a toxicology report.
