Police Log: March 16, 2010 — Felony arrest

PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man is accused of driving while intoxicated after being found asleep in a parked vehicle early Sunday morning.

Clinton County Sheriff's Department deputies allegedly observed Aaron Nadeau, 37, slumped over the center console of a vehicle that was parked on Clinton Street with the engine running, according to a news release.

Nadeau allegedly failed field sobriety tests and submitted to a breath test, which revealed his blood-alcohol content to be more than two times the legal limit.

Nadeau, who was previously convicted of driving while intoxicated in 2008, was charged with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated, according to the news release.

After being arraigned in Town of Plattsburgh Court, Nadeau was sent to Clinton County Jail for lack of $500 cash bail.

He was due back in court Monday to face the charge.
