---- — PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was arrested in connection with an alleged burglary.
Brad E. Coupal, 36, was taken into custody at about 2:09 a.m. Sept. 27 in connection with a burglary complaint from the previous day, said Plattsburgh-based State Police.
His ex-girlfriend contacted police to report a forced entry into her residence at 7937 Rte. 9 in Beekmantown Sept. 26 after many items were missing.
Police said some items Coupal allegedly took included: electronics, tools, pictures, a ladder, a clock and shoes.
When police went to Coupal's residence and question him about the incident, he admitted to taking the property before returning the items to his ex-girlfriend.
He was charged with second-degree burglary, a felony. Coupal was arraigned in the Town of Beekmantown Court and released on his own recognizance due to his cooperation.
He is due back in court Oct. 10.
