LAKE PLACID — A Lake Placid woman was arrest on felony charges Wednesday. Aimee C. Liberty, 31, and a youthful offender who is now in custody, allegedly stole a purse containing credit cards. The investigation stemmed from a complaint that revealed the pair was allegedly conspiring to steal purses from the Lake Placid Public Beach. A warrant was issued July 11 for Liberty’s arrest. She arranged to meet with police to be arrested at 7:10 p.m. on Sentinel Road. Liberty was arraigned before Justice Doran and is being held at the Essex County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or bond. She was ticketed for fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class E felony, petit larceny and fifth-degree conspiracy.
