— ELIZABETHTOWN — A Keeseville woman was arraigned on welfare fraud and false-instrument charges.
Sara Hebert, 23, was arraigned Oct. 4 before Judge William Garrison following her arrest Sept. 21 for fifth-degree welfare fraud, a misdemeanor, and first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, a felony, according to a statement from the Essex Count Department of Social Services.
She was able to make restitution of $243.10 and the case was subsequently adjourned in contemplation of dismissal.
