---- — DANNEMORA — At least one person was injured in a Jan. 15 two-car accident.
Kenneth Varin, 52, of Ellenburg was stopped facing eastbound at Cook Street’s intersection with Emmons Street in the Town of Dannemora shortly before 6:19 a.m.
Nathan Gilmore, 26, of Dannemora was driving eastbound on Cook Street shortly before 6:19 a.m. Jan. 15, when he looked down to check the speed on his vehicle’s odometer, Plattsburgh-based State Police said.
When Gilmore looked up, he saw Varin’s vehicle, which was stopped at the intersection of Cook Street and Emmons Street waiting to make a left turn, police said.
Gilmore was unable to stop and struck Varin’s car, Plattsburgh-based State Police said.
The names of the injured parties and any ticket information were not available.
