TUPPER LAKE — A Tupper Lake man was arrested Monday for allegedly breaking into a residence and attempting to assault the homeowner, police say.
On March 5, Charles Dukett, 42, allegedly unlawfully entered a residence on Martin Street in the Village of Tupper Lake and was allegedly involved in an altercation with the owner of the home, Tupper Lake Police said.
Dukett allegedly interfered with the homeowner calling police, police said.
Damage was done to the door of the home, police said.
Dukett was arrested at 7:10 p.m. on Monday and was charged with second-degree burglary, a felony; third-degree attempted assault, a misdemeanor, and two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, also a misdemeanor.
He was arraigned in Tupper Lake Village Court and was released on $1,500 cash bail, police said.
Dukett will face the charges on April 8 in Village Court, police said.
