PERSONAL-INJURY ACCIDENT
MORRISONVILLE — Seven people, including several children and a pregnant woman, were taken to the hospital following a three-vehicle accident on Route 374 Friday evening.

Plattsburgh-based State Police said Mason Taylor was stopped on Rand Hill Road around 5:45 p.m. when he attempted to cross the state roadway and collided with Ronald Dubrey's van, which was eastbound.

The crash sent Taylor's car spinning into Carol Dominy's truck, which was stopped at the nearby stop sign.

Police said the accident left Dominy, 44, of Morrisonville with a minor arm injury and sent the passengers in Dubrey's vehicle to the hospital for precautionary evaluation.

Dubrey, 37, of Plattsburgh was not injured.

Taylor, 17, of Plattsburgh, whose young passenger was also evaluated for precautionary reasons, was later ticketed for failing to keep right.

All three vehicles were towed.

FELONY ARREST
NORTH ELBA — A Lake Placid man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated Friday after a traffic stop.

Ray Brook-based State Police said Lance Larose was driving on Sentinal Avenue around 11:20 p.m. when troopers spotted him allegedly swerving onto the shoulder of the road.

After initiating a traffic stop, police allegedly found the 23-year-old man intoxicated and driving without a license.

He was charged with two felony DWI offenses and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Larose was also cited for a license-plate violation, failing to keep right and driving on the shoulder.

He will reappear in court at a later date to face the charges.
