PLATTSBURGH — A Vermont man was arrested for an alleged DWI.
John E. Arnold, 52, of Alburg was driving through a work zone on Interstate 87 at a high rate of speed at about 9:30 p.m. Aug. 3 when he was pulled over and later arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated, according to Plattsburgh-based State Police.
He was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of more than 0.08 percent, DWI with a previous conviction within the past 10 years, aggravated DWI for operating the motor vehicle with a child inside, all felonies.
Arnold was also ticketed for speeding in a construction zone.
Police said there was a 14-year-old in the car at the time.
No further details of the arrest were available.
