PLATTSBURGH — Authorities believe a Plattsburgh man received more than $1,000 worth of unemployment benefits he shouldn't have.
Plattsburgh-based State Police arrested Eric V. Mills Wednesday morning on charges of fourth-degree grand larceny, first-degree falsifying business records and 15 counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing.
Mills is suspected of recently collecting $1,456 in an attempt to defraud the Department of Labor.
He was later released on his own recognizance.
