FELONY ARREST
MALONE -- A local woman is now behind bars on drug and prostitution charges after she was arrested earlier this week.
According to Malone Village Police, Carelisha M. Volpe was arrested Wednesday on a felony charge of fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and misdemeanor charges of prostitution, fourth-degree criminal diversion of a prescription drug and fourth-degree criminal sale of marijuana.
After being arraigned on the charges, the 24-year-old was sent to the Franklin County Jail on $2,500 cash bail, which she had not posted as of Friday afternoon.
Village Police said the Franklin County Narcotics Task Force and New York State Police assisted with Volpe's arrest.
