NORTH ELBA -- An AuSable man was arrested here Wednesday evening after he allegedly drove drunk and crashed his vehicle.
Ray Brook-based State Police said James Anderson, 49, was driving on Route 86 around 6 p.m. when his vehicle slid off the road and flipped over into a nearby ditch.
When troopers arrived to the accident, they allegedly found Anderson to be intoxicated and uninjured.
He was taken to Adirondack Medical Center where he refused treatment and was turned over to police to be processed on a drunken-driving charge, which was filed as a felony based on his past driving-while-intoxicated conviction.
Anderson was released from custody after his arrest and will appear in court at a later date to face the allegations.
