Felony Arrest
TICONDEROGA -- A Ticonderoga man faces a felony charge after a domestic disturbance Saturday night.
Town of Ticonderoga Police reported Darren J. West, 28, allegedly smashed the windshield of his girlfriend's car at about 9 p.m. at 170 Champlain Ave., Ticonderoga. He was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony.
West was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, because their 1-year-old son was in the car.
West was released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to be arraigned before Ticonderoga Town Justice James O'Bryan on Wednesday, April 2.
Personal-injury accident
PLATTSBURGH -- A man and a woman were injured in a two-car accident Saturday afternoon.
Plattsburgh-based State Police reported Joshua Blaise, 19, of Plattsburgh was southbound on Bradford Road and came to the Route 3 intersection. Police said Blaise told them he didn't look to his right as he drove onto Route 3.
He collided with Douglas Martin, 63, of Plattsburgh, who was headed east on Route 3. Both vehicles came to a stop in the intersection.
A 43-year-old female passenger in Blaise's vehicle was injured, as well as Thomas Parent, 25. Parent had cuts to his face and minor bleeding. They were both transported the CVPH Medical Center where they were treated and released.
Blaise was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way.
