WESTVILLE — A Constable woman was arrested after an accident Wednesday .
Chazy-based State Police said they arrived at the site of an accident involving two vehicles on State Route 37 at around 1:40 a.m. The drivers involved were Shontell M. Papineau, 31, of Constable, driving a 2000 Subaru, and John L. Brean, 61, of West Chazy, driving a 2006 Ford 350.
Brean was injured in the accident and later went to CVPH Medical Center, where he was admitted in stable condition as of Wednesday evening.
Papineau was found to allegedly be under the influence of alcohol.
She was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, all misdemeanors.
It was also found that the Town of Malone had an oustanding warrant out for Papnieau. The Constable woman was arraigned in Fort Covington Town Court and remanded to Franklin County Jail on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bail bond.
