ELLENBURG — Two teens were arrested for allegedly throwing molotov cocktails.
Ellenburg-based State Police received a complaint at 9:40 a.m. Aug. 16 that Ryan D. Proveaux, 16, of Burke and Brian D. Cole, 19, of Churubusco were attempting to throw molotov cocktails at a vehicle and through a bedroom window of a residence.
Proveaux was arrested at 1:45 p.m. Aug. 19 at 551 Finney Road in Burke. He was charged with third-degree arson, a felony. He was also charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.
Police arrested Cole at 11:33 a.m. Aug. 20 at 825 Ryan Road in Clinton. He was charged with third-degree arson, a felony. He was also charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.
Police said a third suspect was also involved and that arrest is still pending.
Proveaux was arraigned in the Town of Mooers Court and remanded to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. He is due back in court at 7 p.m. Aug. 30
Cole was arraigned in the Town of Altona Court and remanded to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. He reappeared in the Town of Clinton Court at 7 p.m. Aug. 21.
