PLATTSBURGH — An accident in Altona resulted in a felony arrest in Plattsburgh.
Ryan M. Chapple, 27, of West Chazy was involved in a one-car accident in Altona in the early morning hours of July 31 and required treatment for his injuries at CVPH, Plattburgh-based State Police said.
While being treated at the hospital, Chapple was found to allegedly be in possession of Ecstasy tablets.
He was arrested Aug. 3 and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony.
Chapple was also charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor.
Police said he was released on an appearance ticket and is due in court at 4 p.m. Aug. 15.
