PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man faces two felony charges following an alleged physical domestic dispute.
Kyle S. Burdick, 21, was arrested at about 2:13 p.m Oct. 6 following an alleged domestic dispute with his girlfriend over a set of keys, according to Chazy-based State Police.
He was allegedly observed crawling into his girlfriend’s home through a bedroom window before a physical altercation erupted between the two.
Police said Burdick slammed the woman’s head into a wall before breaking into the bathroom where she was trying to hide, to continue the assault.
A neighbor heard the commotion and went next door to intervene before taking the woman to the Plattsburgh Police Department to file a report.
State Police were able to locate Burdick and arrest him a short time later.
He was charged with second-degree assault with intent to cause physical injury and first-degree criminal contempt, both felonies.
Burdick also faces a misdemeanor criminal obstruction of breathing charge, police said.
He was arraigned in the Town of Plattsburgh Court and was remanded to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash.
Police reports did not specify when Burdick is due back in court.
