PERU — Two local fire departments responded to a call at a Peru dairy farm Sunday evening.
At approximately 6:30 p.m., the Keeseville and Peru fire departments headed for 280 River Road in Peru, where a fire was reported between the walls of a milking parlor. The fire, which was ignited by a furnace malfunction, was extinguished within the hour.
No injuries to people or animals were reported. No additional information was available Sunday evening.
