PLATTSBURGH — Plattsburgh Fire Department responded to a small fire at 11 Lorraine St. at around 5:50 p.m. Thursday.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the fire contained to a dryer in the basement of the six-bedroom building, Captain Scott Lawliss said.
Three people and two dogs were in the house at the time when two individuals smelled something burning and noticed the bathroom was filled with smoke.
All got out safely.
Firefighters were able to douse the fire and contain it to just the dryer.
