---- — PLATTSBURGH — At least one person was injured in a one-car accident Jan. 25.
Susan A. Martino, of Plattsburgh, was traveling north on Military Turnpike when her car veered off the road around 8:42 a.m. Defective brakes appeared to be the primary contributing factor. The vehicle veered into a ditch on the eastern side of the road, striking a wooden wagon and reflector signpost. It continued to the Pellerin Road and was airborne for twenty feet as it went into a ditch, finally coming to rest and striking a utility pole.
No tickets were issued at the time. Martino was transported to CVPH having complained of pain in her lower arm, elbow, and hand.
Information on injuries and ticketing was not available.
