Police Log: Feb. 22, 2012 — Felony arrest

PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man faces a charge for allegedly possessing stolen property.

According to Plattsburgh City Court records, at 1 p.m. Feb. 8 Terrick T. Waiters Jr., 20, allegedly possessed an Apple Macbook Air valued at $2,500 which had been reported stolen on Dec. 13, 2011, by Andrew Deso.

The report said Waiters brought the laptop to Best Buy in Plattsburgh, where he attempted to have the password changed to allow him access.

A police deposition said police received a call from a Best Buy manager who said that Waiters was one of her employees and brought the laptop in.

Waiters allegedly admitted to the crime at the Plattsburgh Police Department.

He was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony.

Waiters was arrested on Feb. 8 and is due back in court on Feb. 29.
