SCHROON LAKE — Schroon Lake Fire Department responded to a chimney fire at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Schroon Lake Fire Chief Rodney Secor said the fire had worked its way into the structure of the home.
The home is owned by John Porter.
Secor said Porter and a female were home at the time.
No one was injured.
Schroon Lake received mutual aid from Pottersville, Chilson, Hariken and North Hudson fire departments.
The 18 firefighters were able to get the fire under control at around 9 a.m., Secor said.
Secor said the fire did not harm the rest of the home.
