RUTH WALTON, 82, of Station Street, Lake Placid, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at her home. She was born Jan. 12, 1930, in Lake Placid, the daughter of the late Kenneth Lee Whittemore and the late Fannie (Southmayd) Whittemore. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at the M.B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home, 2310 Saranac Ave., Lake Placid. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the North Elba Cemetery. A reception will take place at the American Legion Post 326.
