CHARLES O. ATKINS, 81, of Deland Way, Plattsburgh, died Wednesday, July 25, at the CVPH Medical Center, with family by his side. He was born in Red Dragon, W.Va. on Dec. 24, 1930, the son of the late Breza and Pharie (Ferrell) Atkins. Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., Monday, July 30, at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. in the Brown Funeral Home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center or the Adirondack Humane Society. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh.
