Don’t use profanity. This includes the term “tea bagger.”

Don’t be incendiary or tasteless. Those qualities are subjective, of course, and our editors will be the arbiters.

Do not identify yourself in the main content area of the article content form. Only by enforcing this rule can the moderators prevent unscrupulous commenters from falsely identifying themselves as someone they are not.

Don't type in all caps. It is considered the Internet equivalent of shouting.

In sports articles, do not criticize officiating.

Remember, moderators are not allowed to edit any article comments. If an article comment fails any of the above criteria, the entire comment will be deleted.

Cook - Giaconia

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Diana Jane Cook and Brett Stephan Giaconia were married on July 6, 2012 at Congress Park, in Saratoga Springs, NY, by the Rev. Terrance O'Neil.

The Bride is the daughter of Dr. Dean Cook of Ticonderoga and Susan Cook of Port Henry. The Bridegroom is the son of Timothy and Narda Giaconia of Broadalbin, NY.

Juliet Cook of Ticonderoga sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Ryan Giaconia of Broadalbin, brother of the groom, was the bridegroom's best man.

Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Giaconia of Broadalbin, Nicole George and Tara Hill both of Burlington, Vt.

Ushers were Alex Giaconia of Broadalbin, brother of the groom, and Chad Egan of Mayfield, NY.

The bride was escorted by her father, Dr. Dean Cook.

A reception was held at the Canfield Casino, Saratoga Springs, NY.

Diana graduated from Ticonderoga Central School in 2002, and is a graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh in 2007 with a B.A. and in 2009 from Walden University with her Masters Degree in Education.

Brett graduated from Broadalbin-Perth Central School in 1998 and is a graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh in 2006 with a B.A. He is a Member of the 109th Airlift Wing at Stratton Air National Guard in Scotia, NY.

After a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia the couple resides Broadalbin, NY.
